Been Awhile, Black Lodges

Been a couple days since a post, but here’s a good read.

Great article from Black Lodges, a creative agency in Germany, on the state of streetwear and how its changed drastically. It examines how the growth of the industry has been stunted. Mainly due to selling out, paired with big business emulation. Really interesting if you want to understand what’s going on in the market and while no names spoken, what some of your favorite big brands have done/ gone through. Regardless, if you have a passion for something do it. The funds will come later.

Kanye – Touch It / G.O.O.D. Friday – So Appalled

A demo track that was previously unreleased now makes its way to the internet. Kind of light on the vocals but nothing I would mind. Not a part of the G.O.O.D. Friday line up but still a decent drop for what the beats worth.

And here’s the G.O.O.D. Friday track in case you dont already have it. Same track from a snippet released much earlier this year. Full track features Kanye, RZA, Jay-Z, Pusha T, Swizz Beatz, and CyHi. Tyga used the same beat for his Im So Raw but I’m sure this will end up with more buzz.

Tattoos “Self Made”

A short documentary on Luke Wessman told by himself. He’s been seen on Miami Ink is known for his Cali/West Coast style. Just a bit on his style and his history.

Would You Turn it Down?

Ahh Mortal Kombat

Wish I still had one, even if its a piece of shit.
Trailer for the new one if anyone cares, looks closer to the originals.

Bottoms Up ft. Wiz Khalifa and Gucci Mane

Here’s the remix for Trey Songz Bottoms Up. Featuring verses from Gucci Mane and Wiz Khalifa, as well as a bit of a beat switch, its worth a listen. Lyrics are what you would typically expect from both parties but they lend well to the single. Gucci’s album drops Sept. 28 and Trey’s “Passion, Pain, and Pleasure” is out now.
